Color: Cosmic (China Glaze)

My buddy sent me this shade! It has small and large holographic glitter in a black base color. It looks stunning in the bottle, but I think the black base color is a little too thick. On the nail, the glitter doesn’t really shine as much as you’d think, which is unfortunate.
But worst than lack of sparkle is the formula! I tried to apply this on my nails several times, and I even thinned the formula a little, but no matter what, I got a lumpy finish. I googled other swatches, and it appears many other people have complained about a lumpy finish. In this photo, I’m wearing 2 coats of Cosmic and 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat, but as you can see, the finish is super chunky and gross.
China Glaze definitely had the right idea with this shade (holographic glitter with a black base is gorgeous!), but they went all wrong with the formula. Such a shame. :(
