Color: Dress Me Up (China Glaze)Retail Price: $6.50 (USD)
This shade is from China Glaze’s Hunger Games-inspired Capitol Colours collection. Previously, this collection was supposed to be inspired by characters from the series, and Dress Me Up is the color that went with Primrose Everdeen. (I have to say that now, I don’t really see this collection as matching the Capitol. Each shade relates more to a District, doesn’t it?)
Dress Me Up is a dusty rose pink with a creme finish. When I bought the colors I wanted from this collection, I initially didn’t buy Dress Me Up! But after I got home, I kept thinking about this pink, and I ended up going back to the store the next day to pick up a bottle. I think that experience proves how well the shade relates to Primrose Everdeen. It’s a delicate, natural beauty that may seem to blend into the crowd, but the fact that you think about it all night after not buying it proves otherwise!
The formula for this shade has exactly the right consistency to ensure a smooth manicure. Application is great; it’s so easy to create a flawless manicure with clean lines. In the photo above, I am wearing two coats of Dress Me Up.
This color is so subtle and sweet. In fact, I think it’s a great work-safe color, but memorable enough for other moods and occasions, too. Moreover, the pink makes this great for the spring, but the dustiness makes it something I can picture in a winter wardrobe, too. This is absolutely a special color that needs to be in your stash!
